Well, where do we start to begin to tell you of all the amazing and wonderful places you can explore from Kyles House! There is something to suit everyone from walking the mountains and glens, fishing the fabulous lochs, getting the sand between your toes on the miles and miles of white beaches, playing golf on the most spectacular yet rustic course to discovering the secrets of this Celtic Isle. In fact, to try to describe everything, there would be too many to mention and the Attractions Page would go on for miles. Instead we have listed a few of the delights of Harris, with as many links as we can so you may look for yourself.
Fishing - Obbe Fishing offers fantastic fishing on a selection of lochs on the south of the island. The personalised ghillie service makes for a fantastic way spend the day. www.obbefishings.com

Golf - Harris even has its own golf course. As with the rest of Harris, it is totally unique with exquisite views. www.harrisgolf.com
Shopping - Harris is famous for it's fabulous tweed and there are many places to find the gorgeous clothing that is as fashionable in the cities of Europe as it is practicle in the Outer Hebrides. www.harristweedandknitwear.co.uk
Eating out - The Rodel Hotel is in a magnificent setting by Rodel habour and serves a choice of good local food. www.rodelhotel.co.uk

Sea Trips - There are daily trips (weather permitting) to St. Kilda from Leverburgh. Advanced booking is essential. www.kildacruises.co.uk
Beaches - The road to the west of the island is littered with beautiful white sandy beaches. Northton Sands, just minutes away from Kyles House, is a huge expanse of soft white sand lying at the foot of Toe Head mountain. It is a great place to blow away the cobwebs and especially great for kite flying! But Northton Sands is just the first of many on this coast hugging road from the house. You will be spoilt for choice for the places to paddle. Luskentyre is another of worthy mention, when the sun shines you could be on the remotest Caribbean island. With all these beaches the view is westward out to the Atlantic and you cannot help but ask yourself if you could possibily see America on a clear day!

History - Harris is steeped in history both geologically, with some of the oldest rocks in world and in its heritage. St. Clements Church in Rodel dates back to the 15th centry and was built for Clan MacLeod. It is dedicated to Pope Clement I. www.scotland-inverness.co.uk/rodel.htm This is just one of the many historic sites on the island.
As we mentioned above, there is so much to do it is impossible to fit it all on this website. For more information on the surrounding area, here are some more websites for you to visit.
